Media Club provides coverage for all types of on and off campus activities and events. The Club is also responsible for promoting DBC locally and internationally using various media channels. The Club is mainly run by students as contributors of stories, photos, videos and newsworthy articles. Media Club provides students with the opportunity to express their ideas and talent through media, communication and journalism.
The main purpose of the Media Club is to give the opportunity to the students to be creative in media. Using media, they will collaborate together while getting hands-on experience. It enables students to know and avoid the negative impact of media on education and transform or change them into positive impact.
Objectives
To develop communication.
To develop an understanding of the effects of mass media on themselves as individuals and also upon society.
To build up skills to deconstruct media messages by making them understand the constructed nature of media.
To develop skills to encourage the production of creative media messages.
To encourage students to express their feelings and thoughts through media messages.
To introduce various career opportunities in mass media to the students.
To build-up the basic knowledge in preparing programs in channels.
